Oxfordshire Arts Week – St Mary’s Church, Barton

What we worked on at Endeavour:

St Mary’s church approached us back in 2021 and asked us to take part in their community project entitled Hope. We were asked to create a large Noah’s Ark display and all students and staff worked tirelessly to draw, paint, colour and collage 2 of each animal (chosen by the young people in each class)

Having listened to the Noah’s Ark story and song each student also created colourful handprints that were combined to create a beautiful rainbow.

In Spring 2023, Endeavour again took part in the Oxfordshire Arts Week, proudly displaying their sensory collages depicting Toy Story characters for a display entitled ‘You’ve got a friend in me’

On both occasions a group of students and staff enjoyed an afternoon seeing their artwork alongside those of other local artists.

What’s next:

We have had a busy year creating artwork inspired by the Japanese Artist Yayoi Kusama, also known as 'the princess of polka dots'.  We look forward to holding our own small art exhibition in Autumn 2024.
