Arts Award - Discover
Students across Endeavour Academy are working towards the Discover level by engaging in a range of school and community arts projects.
What is the Arts Award?
Arts Award is a range of qualifications for children and young people aged 25 and under to inspire them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through challenges in an art form - ranging from fashion to digital art, pottery to poetry.
There are five levels - Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold making it fully accessible for all young people to be creative. A number of Endeavour students are currently working towards the introductory Discover level involving 20 hours of learning.

What we are working on at Endeavour
Discover level involves:
Participating in arts activities - these vary depending on individual student's interests but include music, mosaic, pottery, photography and painting.
Researching artists and their work - students have engaged in The Gift project delivered by two artists from OXCEP (Oxfordshire's Cultural Education Partnership) which involved exploring colours through short, practical activities. These included colour mixing with sweets in milk, making fruit smoothies, exploring coloured flags and balls and culminated in painting a canvas as a gift for St Swithun's CE primary school.
Sharing their art discoveries - photos have been shared on Twitter and in our school newsletter so parents/guardians and external stakeholders can share and celebrate our young people's artwork.
